🎄 Snowfall in Florida?

Imagine strolling through downtown West Palm Beach and suddenly — snow! Yes, real snow (well, snow-effect) every evening this holiday season.

From now through December 31, head to CityPlace (700 S Rosemary Ave) where the “nightly snowfall” makes its magical drop at 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. each night.

It’s the perfect way to kick off the season and soak in the holiday spirit with family, friends, and the community.

March of the Living Southern Region Commemorates Kristallnacht with “Marching Forward”

Boca Raton, Fla. (November 19, 2025) — The March of the Living Southern Region held its Kristallnacht Commemorative Program, Marching Forward: Honoring the Past, Empowering the Future, on November 9 at Zinman Hall. The event honored Rabbi Dr. Leon Weisberg for his leadership in Holocaust and Jewish education and raised support for the March of the Living Scholarship Fund, ensuring all eligible students can participate.

Chaired by Lesli K. Ross with regional co-chairs Phyllis Gutmann and Deborah Rudmann, the program featured speakers Julia Jassey of Jewish on Campus and Natalie Sanandaji of the Combat Antisemitism Movement, a survivor of the October 7 Nova Music Festival attack. Dr. Roni Rab moderated the discussion.

Attendees joined in a six-candle lighting for the Six Million, recited Mourner’s Kaddish and Hatikvah, and viewed a film on the March’s impact on local teens. Federation CEO Igor Alterman emphasized the importance of accessible Holocaust education, while Director Stephanie Nichol highlighted the urgency of combating rising antisemitism.

Rabbi Weisberg reflected on decades of leadership, reminding attendees that “memory is a verb” and urging them to strengthen the community. Jassey and Sanandaji offered guidance on empowering students to confront antisemitism, emphasizing the importance of honest conversations and shared stories.
