September is almost over, which means so is one of the area's biggest restaurant promotions.

Flavor South Florida wraps up Wednesday after a month of prix-fixe menus at more than 100 participating restaurants throughout the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Participating restaurants stretch from Boca Raton and Delray Beach to Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter and beyond.

Menus and pricing vary by restaurant, with specials starting at $25. If there's somewhere new you've been wanting to try, Tuesday and Wednesday are your final chances to take advantage of this year's event.

October is starting with an Oktoberfest celebration right along the West Palm Beach waterfront.

Clematis by Night gets a Bavarian makeover Thursday evening with the DeLeon Family Oktoberfest Band bringing three generations of accordion players to the stage. Expect traditional Bavarian music and polka mixed with some more contemporary festival favorites.

The evening will also feature Oktoberfest food, a beer tent, commemorative steins, trivia and an onstage stein-holding contest. Admission is free, so grab a chair or blanket and find a spot on the Great Lawn.

Sanborn Square is getting a little busier after dark Thursday as Boca Raton's Night Market returns for its fall season.

The monthly outdoor market brings together local artists and makers, food vendors, sweet treats, music and art in the heart of downtown Boca. It's the kind of event you can stop by without needing much of a plan — browse the vendors, grab something to eat and stick around for the music.

The city is also offering free rides to the market through its BocaConnect shuttle service.
