Clematis Street is giving the dogs their own happy hour Friday afternoon.

For PARK(ing) Day, Clematis Paws and the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority are turning part of the street into a pet-friendly gathering space complete with a mini pop-up dog park, photo opportunities, treats, giveaways and local pet businesses.

The event takes place along the 300 block of Clematis Street between Olive Avenue and Dixie Highway.

Dogs should remain leashed and comfortable around other people and pets.

Norton Museum of Art | West Palm Beach

Friday night at the Norton has a little more going on than your average museum visit.

This week’s Art After Dark includes gallery tours, an open art studio, short films and a panel discussion focused on women in architecture.

Then from 7:30 to 9 p.m., R&B and soul artist MORĀ performs live in the Great Hall, mixing soul, jazz and pop influences.

Admission during Art After Dark is $10 for adults and seniors, $5 for students and free for Norton members.

Mounts Botanical Garden | West Palm Beach

Mounts Botanical Garden is staying open into the evening Saturday for something a little different.

Guests receive silent-disco headphones and are invited to move through the garden at their own pace, walking, dancing, stopping or simply taking in the surroundings while listening to music.

The experience eventually brings everyone together for a shared sunset gathering and sound experience beneath the evening sky.

No dance experience is required.

Tickets are $33 for members and $35 for nonmembers, with full garden admission included. Registration is required.

Sunday afternoon brings a free opportunity to learn more about one of the ocean’s most impressive visitors.

Florida Atlantic University PhD candidate Schelli Linz will discuss her research into contaminant exposure and stress responses in leatherback sea turtles that nest along South Florida’s beaches.

Her work looks at how environmental contaminants may affect the world’s largest sea turtle species and what researchers can learn through molecular analysis and other tools.

The lecture is free, and advance registration is recommended.
