Port of Palm Beach Secures $13M Federal Grant to Boost Efficiency

The Port of Palm Beach has launched a $29 million modernization project thanks to a $13.2 million federal grant from the Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP). The upgrades aim to streamline cargo operations, improve truck and rail access, and cut traffic congestion.

Key Improvements:

  • 🚛 New Main Gate & Truck Processing System – Faster entry and reduced wait times.

  • 🚂 Expanded On-Dock Rail Yard – Rail capacity will more than double, removing 29,000+ truck trips from I-95 each year.

  • 🌿 Cleaner, Greener Operations – Less truck traffic means lower emissions and a smaller environmental footprint.

Construction began in late 2024, and once completed, the project will make the Port one of Florida’s most efficient export hubs.
