Good Morning Palm Beach County!
We're officially settling into October, and the calendar is starting to look a little more like fall, even if the South Florida weather hasn't exactly gotten the memo.
This week brings pumpkins downtown, a morning run along Clematis, a movie worth talking about, live music on the waterfront and the official start of Fright Nights.
Here are five things happening around Palm Beach County this week.

FALL POPS UP DOWNTOWN
Pumpkin season has officially arrived in Downtown West Palm Beach.
Mr. Jack O' Lanterns Pumpkin Patch has transformed 419 Lakeview Avenue into a little slice of fall, with pumpkins in different shapes, sizes and colors, seasonal photo opportunities and family-friendly activities.

The patch is sticking around through November 1, so there's no need to squeeze it all into one weekend. If you've been waiting for an excuse to take some fall photos or finally bring home a pumpkin, this is an easy weekday stop.
Where: 419 Lakeview Avenue, West Palm Beach
When: Monday–Thursday this week | 11:00 AM–8:00 PM
Good fit for: Families, fall photos, pumpkin shopping or anyone determined to pretend it's sweater weather.
START TUESDAY WITH A RUN
If you're trying to get a little movement in before the workday starts, YouRun Crew meets Tuesday morning in Downtown West Palm Beach.
The community run leaves from Arya Tea Bar on Clematis Street and offers a social way to get some miles in, whether you're training for something or simply looking for a different way to start the morning.
And yes, 7 a.m. is early but at least you'll have the rest of the day to feel accomplished about it.
Where: Arya Tea Bar, 508 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach
When: Tuesday, October 6 | 7:00–8:00 AM
Cost: Free
Good fit for: Runners, fitness goals, meeting new people or early risers looking to switch up their routine.
A MIDWEEK MOVIE WITH SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT
Sugar Sand Park's Senses of Cinema: Films for Thought returns Wednesday morning at the Willow Theatre in Boca Raton.
This series goes a little deeper than simply screening a movie and sending everyone home. Films are followed by commentary and discussion, giving movie lovers a chance to actually talk about what they just watched.
It's a quieter pick than some of this week's bigger events, but that's exactly why it made the list, not every outing needs food trucks, a huge crowd and live music.
Where: Willow Theatre at Sugar Sand Park, Boca Raton
When: Wednesday, October 7 | 10:00 AM–12:30 PM
Cost: $12 residents | $15 non-residents
Good fit for: Movie lovers, daytime plans or anyone who enjoys discussing a film almost as much as watching it.
THURSDAY NIGHT ON THE WATERFRONT
Clematis by Night is back Thursday with The Goodnicks taking the stage along the West Palm Beach waterfront.

The band brings a mix of rock, pop and country influenced by everyone from the Eagles and Keith Urban to Kiss and Rascal Flatts.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket, find a spot on the Great Lawn and settle in for three hours of free live music overlooking the waterfront.
Where: Centennial Square & Great Lawn, 100 N. Clematis Street, West Palm Beach
When: Thursday, October 8 | 6:00–9:00 PM
Cost: Free
Good fit for: Live music, date night, groups or a laid-back Thursday evening outside.
FRIGHT NIGHTS IS BACK
We're not even halfway through October, but spooky season is officially getting serious.
Fright Nights opens Thursday at the South Florida Fairgrounds, kicking off another season of haunted attractions, scares and Halloween entertainment.
The gates open at 6 p.m., with the haunted houses opening at 7 p.m. Fright Nights continues on select nights throughout October, but opening night is your first chance to see what's waiting in the dark this year.
Where: South Florida Fairgrounds, 9067 Southern Boulevard, West Palm Beach
When: Thursday, October 8 | Gates open at 6:00 PM | Haunted houses open at 7:00 PM
Good fit for: Horror fans, Halloween lovers, groups of friends and people who insist they're impossible to scare.
